In submission to the omnipotence of God the Almighty, many hardened criminals renounced past lives of criminality to embrace the Christian virtue of love and care for their fellow human beings. One of these is Mr Chukwu who had been a notorious and professional assassin. Mr Chukwu had trailed one of those to be his victim of unprovoked aggression right from town to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. He and his victim-to-be parked their cars about the same time and went together into the Church. Mr Chukwu’s plan was to assassinate the man on the road to the Church, in the Church itself or close to his home after the service depending on when the opportunity offered itself most readily. While mentally perfecting his ignoble scheme as he kept a watchful eye on the man, Chukwu among others welcomed the man of God to the auditorium and then the altar. However, as soon as the man of God took the microphone from the wise man, Mr Chukwu began to have sensations of discomfort in his entire being. Some kind of disenabling weight descended on him and he was no longer the agile criminal he had known himself to be. At this stage, he signalled the lady who was his ready accomplice that they should leave. Confused in the pervading atmosphere of the anointed presence of the Holy Spirit, his accomplice totally misunderstood him and proceeded to send back contrary signals to him. In desperation, he got up and decided to leave the lady behind but engulfed in the unusual atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, he was visited with a harvest of confusions on the one hand and a struggle with himself as to how to be able to leave the Church. In a flux of sensations which encapsulated reality with hallucinations, he saw himself under pressures of attack but could not put himself sufficiently together to hit back, partly hazy and partly in a fit of electrocution as he was. In this fit of discomposure, he surrendered himself for deliverance. According to him, five of them came to the Church together for the aborted operation, the other three men stationed themselves outside the Church. Mr Chukwu’s parents had disowned him in his life of criminality and he had an inner yearning to reunite with them as their child – a yearning fructified by the deliverance. Delivered, Mr Chukwu saw the need for a life of moral discipline predicated on sound education and he wished to go back to his alma mater, Imo State University from which he absconded five years before at 400 level into a life-style of criminality. A wish that was graciously approved and supported by the man of God who seized the opportunity to berate the victim-to-be and others of his ilk who are in the habit of coming to the Church without embracing God publicly, adding that though he enjoyed the grace this time, he may not enjoy the same grace next time. According to the man of God, these people come and leave the Church in hiding as a manifestation of irresponsibility and uncommitted disposition to the service of God. To God be the glory, that the Nigerian society was rid of a notorious assassin in the name of Chukwu in the Church service of 23rd January 2011!
INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL DELIVERED
Another seemingly more dangerous and habituated criminal in the name of Oluwaseun also surrendered to the Lord the same Sunday, January 23, 2011. Oluwaseun had right from school days sold himself to a life of criminality as a cultist in the university and also when he travelled out to graduate into a professional and international assassin. At a time, he was arrested and also spent a brief moment in the banking industry. In the true spirit of his chosen life-style, he used his right testicle as a security making himself impregnable. In contradistinction to his small stature, he was simply an amalgam of both physical and magical powers capable, as he was, of raising guns and other arms from nowhere by merely tapping his palm on the ground and killing without being seen. In prison, he also demonstrated the same feat among his inmates. By his magical powers, he towered above the reach of either guns or cutlasses. At initiation, he was tested and he proved quite repellent to gunshots. In the many cases of testing, only a small mark of the knife was left on his skin after gunshots and stabs had been successfully repelled. In his haunt in a hotel, he had the opportunity to be exposed to Emmanuel television and this left an unusual impression on his being. Thereafter, he asked one of their motorcyclists – usually at their beck and call, to take him from the hotel to his house. There at home, the impression from the Emmanuel TV remained indelible in his memory causing him to wish to visit The SCOAN itself. In The SCOAN, he narrated his escapades and yearned for deliverance. The man of God, in his usual wish to have every congregant as a participant in the process of deliverance, asked a newcomer, Pastor Monday Achimpong, to lead the international assassin out for the deliverance by shouting at the name above all names, Jesus. Recessed from the auditorium, the pastor did as he was instructed by confidently shouting Jesus to minister deliverance to the assassin. As soon as the pastor shouted the name, Jesus, the impregnable Oluwaseun slumped, tumbled and appeared to echo the words of deliverance issued by the pastor. The man of God, while congratulating the pastor, said every congregant who had devoted themselves to the service should be able to do the deliverance as the pastor had done. In his words, everybody received the anointing for deliverance in the service. In this way, our gracious Lord once again made the Nigerian society safer for the law-abiding ones by changing the life of Oluwaseun.
EX-MILITANTS FROM NIGER DELTA DELIVERED
A Sunday service of ridding the Nigerian society of crime prone individuals, the day also witnessed the deliverance of Ex-militants from the Niger Delta. Numbering not less than twenty, they complained of the nightmares they had been subjected to as they were tormented by the spirits of those they killed. They appealed to the man of God for deliverance from these spirits of vengeance.
In a vote of thanks, the spokesman of the Ex-militants applauded the prophet for the magnanimity, noting however, that they felt more relieved by the deliverance than by anything else as similar monetary offers to them in the past never assuaged the psychological turmoil that had been their bane. He added that he saw the hand of God in The SCOAN and therefore appealed to Government to act in league with the Church to make Nigeria a peaceful nation. He additionally thanked God for the life of the prophet who, in turn, assured them of the peace of God.
